God of War Ragnarok: Everything we know

God of War Ragnarok: What we know so far about the PlayStation 5 sequel

God of War Ragnarok – yep, that is the name – has been the grand finale of the September PlayStation showcase, bringing us a substantial trailer packed with friends, adversaries, Daddy Kratos and Atreus who has seen considerable development.

The trailer provided us a lot of fresh game elements and new characters as well as several possible plots. The release date, and all that we know continue to read for all this information.

God of War Ragnarok's release date has been determined.

It has just been reported that God of War Ragnarok was delaying till 2022, by Sony Santa Monica and PlayStation Studios. It wasn't a big surprise, as previously said. It was inevitable that we saw no gameplays, movies, elements of the plot or even a good trailer in the midst of 2021.

Story of the God of War Ragnarok

God of War Ragnarok

The new God of War Ragnarok teaser provided us a fair sense of what the plot will be like. Years have gone by, as an elderly, confident Atreus showed, with the enormous genes beginning to emerge, since the end of God of War in 2018.

Together, father and son must confront Ragnarok, the mythical Norse version of an apocalypse, battling old foes like Freya and new foes like Thor, all while Kratos wrestles with his son's rebellious attitude and his understanding of who Atreus truly is. The tale will span the Nine Realms (you only saw six in God of War), with Vanaheim, Svartalfheim, and Asgard thrown in for good measure.

It also adds some fascinating new characters such as Angrboda, who Sony Santa Monica, developer, has stated he's "one of the few giants to exist." At the end of this enormous guy? This is Tyr, Odin's son, Thor and Baldur's half-brother, but imprisoned and thus likely to settle with Daddy.

Seriously, spoilers.Kratos and Atreus find towards the conclusion of 2018 that Faye, AKA Mrs Kratos, was actually Laufey, which made Atreo part god and half-giant, and with another name: Loki "God of War" is quick and easy to play with Norse mythology, but can provide some clues about what is about to happen. .

After that great discovery is revealed, Fimbulwinter is told that it comes. If you have skipped your lesson in Norse Mythology And you are disappointed – then know that it is a three-year 'big winter.'

When you return home after the credits, there's a second ending when Thor appears'several years later.' It's only a tease that ends when Kratos asks him what he wants. Thor might be seeking vengeance for Kratos' 'killing his sons' incident, or he could be seeking his assistance in ending Ragnarok.

Game director for God of War Ragnarok

God of War Ragnarok

God of War made game director Cory Barlog renowned on the internet, but Eric Williams will take over for the upcoming game. He's been working on the God of War series since 2004, and in a recent interview, he revealed to GamesRadar+ what his new role means for the franchise.

""We stick to what we did the last time, and the father-son connection remains intact," Williams adds. "The ending isn't, 'Well, we finished for mum, we're all right.' No, in life a lot more happens and everything goes on."

This is similar to, well, there are some various points of view. We'll experience the world through the eyes of a child, figuring out things they thought were black and white, or perhaps much more grey, and a lot more familial relationships."

Is God of War Ragnarok just available on PlayStation 5?

God of War Ragnarok

God of War Ragnarok is not a PlayStation 5 exclusive, but it is a PlayStation exclusive. In an interview with the PlayStation Blog, PlayStation Studios president Hermen Hulst stated that the next God of War game would be released on both the PS4 and the PS5, making it a cross-gen release.

We shall keep an eye on it where it makes sense to develop a PS4 or PS5 title — such as Horizon Forbidden Western, next God of War, GT7 —," added Hulst. "And if the owners of PlayStation 4 want this game to play, they can. It is available to them if they choose to play the PS5 version."
