Part 2 of Minecraft Cliffs & Caves will be released this year.

Minecraft cliffs and caves update

Cliffs & Caves, Minecraft's largest update to date, was so large that Mojang decided to break it into two parts. The second half of the expansion, which will, according to the creators, make the game seem like Minecraft 2.0, will be published around the end of 2021, Mojang said today at Minecraft Live.

Part II introduces a new world creation technology that enables larger worlds than in vanilla Minecraft. Because the world's high limit has been raised, everything may now be larger in scope. Using the new world creation technique, any of your previously produced worlds will be "integrated" into Cliffs & Caves Part II. You can also continue to play on your regular worlds. However, Mojang claims that when you are ready to transition to the new world-generation method, your stuff will follow you.

Players may also expect to explore new locations, such as more caverns, and the size of mineral veins has been enhanced.

"Climb higher mountains, explore intricate caverns, and harvest huge mineral veins. Learn about the lush cave and dripstone cave biomes. Increase your world height and navigate the new terrain to test your limits. Light up your world with candles, then place one in a cake to commemorate your accomplishments as a smart spelunker and expert climber "According to Mojang, the latest update.

Cliffs & Caves Part 1 was published as a free update to Minecraft in June.
