 'God of War' Has Been Officially Announced For PC, With A Release Date Of 2022 On Steam

So there you have it. Sony has officially announced that the epic 2018 PlayStation 4 adventure God Of War is coming to PC after months of leaks and rumours. On January 14, 2022, SIE Santa Monica Studio's critically praised revival will be released on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

For those who don't own a PS4 or have no interest in the God Of War franchise in general, the 2018 edition is a reboot/sequel that recast series protagonist Kratos as a single parent grappling with his brutal history. Thrown against his will on an epic quest with his young son, Atreus, the duo must explore a land inspired by Norse mythology while facing terrible adversaries along the way. It is a masterpiece, as practically everyone who has played it will tell you.
There's little question that the impending PC edition of God of War will be one of the greatest ways to play the game, since Santa Monica Studio has already promised a lot of improvements.
According to a press release, "users will be able to enjoy the full potential of our dramatic, no-cut camera as it follows Kratos and Atreus across the realms with the option of genuine 4k resolution, on compatible devices, and unlocked framerat
"The PC version contains a plethora of graphics presets and choices, allowing players to fine-tune their visual experience based on their configuration. In addition to the graphic and performance enhancements, we are also delivering 21:9 ultra-widescreen compatibility."
To be honest, the fact that I can play God of War without my PS4 sounding like it's going to fly to the moon is already a huge plus in my book.
"Our major objective when bringing God of War to PC was to emphasise the amazing content the team generated and harness the strong technology that the platform affords to deliver a particularly stunning and high-performance version of the game," Santa Monica Studio said on the PlayStation Blog.
More information will be released by PlayStation and Santa Monica Studio in the near future. Hopefully, Bloodborne will be the next game to get the PC treatment, eh?
